Decals and Graphics
Please be aware that all tank graphics will bubble on plastic gas tanks that are filled with or have been filled with gas at one time. The gas vapors get locked into the cell membrane of the plastic tank. The decals that are not perforated are for restoration purposes on new tanks only. The best way to make these decals stick on plastic tanks is to drain the gas tank after every ride or buy the perforated ones. We realize that some of our Yamaha and Honda decals are probably not suitable for racers and weekend warriors. If you have an aluminum or steel tank, the decals will not bubble. Caswell offers a product that works well to seal the inside of a plastic tank if you do not want to use vented decals.
